I live in Arizona. I had the same unit branded Kenmore for the last eight years and it runs in my shop 24/7 for 8 months at a time and it was the longest lasting unit I have run in my 30 years in the shop. The Frigidaire is a newer model and has a few features that enhance it. It blows COLD and cycles nicely on 115 degree days.
Only had this unit a couple of weeks. Does a good job of cooling. Surprise was that there is no drain hole for water. Fan is supposed to splatter water condensation on evaporator. Somewhat noisy, but it does good job of cooling so I’m hoping that eventually I will get used to that noise that sounds like a wasp hitting the fan
this was a replacement for the 25BTU Frigidaire I had for 9 years,,great unit …great price fast cooling even when we are using our oven
