- Needed it before a birthday and got what I needed fast.
- I had my eye on the Lego Mini Cooper for a while and was fortunate enough to receive it as a present, I was very excited to build it and display it as I’ve always liked classic mini coopers so it’s cool to be able to build a Lego version. It took me about 3 hours to build and it was an enjoyable experience with some interesting building techniques, I thought the dark green bricks captured the look of the Mini Cooper perfectly and I loved the build for the seating in different shades of light brown which really gives it that retro look, the printed lines finish off the model well and gives it a very classy look. You also get a few stickers which include the Mini Cooper Logo, something else which is really cool is that you can choose what number plate sticker you want to use! You can remove the roof and access the inside, there isn’t really any playability to the set but this is meant to be a display model and would look great on a desk or corner shelf. Another thing which I’m a huge fan of is the picnic theme, you get a red and white picnic blanket, a buildable basket, bread, cheese and a glass of water. This is a really nice touch to finish this set off. I can’t really think of any bad points about this set as it’s a very solid and classy looking model of the Mini Cooper. Highly recommended!!
- This is my second lego set and really enjoyed it. It is very well designed. The doors, trunk and front of the car opens, so it is also fun to play with. It took me about 5-6 hours in total. It’s not a difficult built and there is not a lot of repetition. It will be a nice addition to my bookshelf.
- This set as a standard build is amazing but even more fun to work on and make it your own. I need more parts to finish mine but this set is so fun to work on it makes me want to buy another to change up
- Yet another fantastic Creator vehicle set! I love everything about this build, from the look to the functions to the printed elements. The dark green color scheme is phenomenal in my opinion, and the striping alongside the Cooper is printed onto the bricks. I love how the hood, trunk and doors all open, and all have incredible detail. The picnic basket, blanket and water bottle are all perfect additions to this set as well. The price I think is great, especially for the piece count, I think it’s a great deal. The build was easy and fun to put together. Only con for me is stickers, but other than that this is a fantastic build.
- My 9yo son had a great time building this car! I especially like the pattern of the seats! The final product looks awesome and he loves showing off the car to his friends! Two big thumbs up!!!!
- From Son; Great set, had fun building it when i got it for christmas 2 years ago, then decided to twin turbocharge and supercharge the standard A-Series engine. i built a rally interior and mucked around with different versions of that MINI ending with a drag MINI that was too far gone to be rebuilt back to the semi-standard condition that it was in before i built it as a drag MINI so i just pulled it apart and it sat, in pieces in my LEGO box. About a month ago, mum decided i had to rebuild the MINI so i got the larger pieces of MINI (Doors, Roof, Rear panels, etc.) and built a basic MINI. I then thought, Why not go completely stupid and put a Technic V8 in the middle of it and make it AWD. so i did, and in keeping with my tradition for the poor MINI the V8 has twin turbos and the supercharger off the Technic Drag Racer. I also decided to add working headlights, taillights and indicators. but i might remove them as it makes the inside of the MINI a bit of a mess of wires. All in all though, an awesome set! Now, lets see if i can turbocharge the VW Type 1 “Kombi”
- This is a great build project. Will take several hours to complete but is a lot of fun. I love how Lego has been able to capture the look and style of the Mini.
- I picked up this kit thinking it’d be a great addition to the F40 and VW T1. From the unpack I noticed the bag containing the wheels tires and other parts was missing for one and I had a doubling of one bag containing the windshield. And yes this model has the overlap issue (waiting on replacement parts from Denmark but they’ve been in warehouse for a week now according to Order Status). So as of right now it’s incomplete, waiting on parts though but I might have to just go exchange it at the store partially built. I just have to say some QC is missing with this kit and yes it was in the newer box.
