My vet always asks what we feed our dogs. Why you ask? 1. He hardly ever sees them 2. They have beautiful teeth and coats 3. They live FOREVER (I’m talking a 17+yo boxer -pit mix!) We have been feeding Old Roy for about 20 years now and will never change.
we used to feed pedigree because i didn’t want to feed them the absolute cheapest thing out there. ended up with a stray here with food allergies and ol’ roy was the only thing she could eat without breaking out in hives. we’ve had lots of strays, drop offs and fosters here and they all love it. we’ve fed it to large dogs, small dogs, old dogs, young dogs, long coats, short coats, lazy and hyper. never had any problems. we just keep the bowls full and they get what they need. if you are worried about vitamins, nutrients, etc. they make doggy vitamins and supplements.

Can’t really rate this product since I’m not the one eating it. No digestive issues and he seems to like it. Poops twice a day and it looks normal/has normal texture.
Have been feeding ole Roy to my dog for several years. This morning after feeding him, I noticed he hadn’t eaten all his food. I discovered a dried up mouse in the bottom his bowl. Checking his food container I discovered maggots and worms in the rest of his food . Needless to say it has been thrown out and my dog will never eat that brand again. I cringe at the thought of what my poor dog has eaten over the years.
