Very sturdy – we’ve dropped them (had them flung) a few times and they don’t crack, chip or break. A great alternative to plastic (even PBA free plastic). They do hold a little less than the plastic bottles if you fill them above the marked lines. There is a set of handles that fit these bottles from a sippy cup trainer so your baby can hold their own bottle.
I have been using theses bottles for my daughter, who just turned 3 months old. We have been using the Avent Natural plastic bottles to supplement breastfeeding. These are the first glass bottles we have used. I like that the nipples mimic breastfeeding. These come with slow flow (#1) nipples, which is what we started using at two months. I was worried that glass bottles might break easily, but these have held up to being dropped on the floor and through many washings by hand and in the dishwasher. The only issue Inhave with this size is that if you mix 4 oz of formula in the bottle, it is filled to the top and the powder can get stuck in the nipple, but it works great with breast milk or premixed formula. I love these bottles and so does my baby. She’s almost 3 months old. I prefer glass bottles over plastic, although they are a bit heavier. These bottles are simple, beautiful, and easy to use and clean. Thanks for sending them to us weeSpring Parent Panel. I’m a fan!
I got a chance to try these bottles as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. My baby loves the design of this nipple and consistently takes from it which I was quite excited to discover as I headed back to work from maternity leave, worried he wouldn’t eat when I wasn’t home! My only concern with this bottle is the weight of it, which while it makes it sturdy, makes me nervous if it were to somehow hit the baby while he was eating. It’s not really one that at this time he can hold onto on his own. It is super easy to clean though which is great!
I have these same baby bottles in plastic and hands down the glass ones are the best! I love how easy they are to clean. Warming them up is a breeze too. I wish there was a silicone sleeve that came with them though. However, what I LOVE the most is that they fit my breastpump flanges. The bottles that came with the pump frustrate me because they fall over easily and precious milk spills out, but this is not the case with Philips Avent Natural glass baby bottles. These are the first glass bottles I’ve tried and I’ve enjoyed using them. My breastfed, 4 month old seems to take to the nipple design. Cleaning has been the easiest since there are only 3 parts. I used it in a bottle warmer and had to let it cool down a little, but it didn’t take long. It’s a little heavy for my daughter to hold on her own, but I don’t see it being a problem when she’s a little older. Thanks WeeSpring Parent Panel for giving me the opportunity to try these bottles!
Very sad to see there is no warranty on bottles. I ordered these glass bottles a week ago and have had 2 break in the glass warmer… they are NOT heat/shockproof! The milk wasn’t even coming from the refrigerator! Why do they not offer warranty on glass bottles? Because they are a poor product. Back to the drawing board!
