- I truly like this pot…I have only been using it for a week and so far it’s excellent. It boils cold water in less than 2 minutes. I use it in my classroom and find it extremely convenient.
- i have owned presto tea kettles for over 20 years. please never stop making them. unobtrusive, easy to keep clean and clean, fast water boilers, hold enough water for a good French Press brewing for coffee and for a good 3-4 cup teapot exterior is white bakelite? and interior heating element is aluminum, which once oxidized does not lose aluminum and hard water deposits can be cleaned with running vinegar water through it. they have a limited one year replace or repair warranty, so you can’t lose! there are many competitors, which assume the postmodern danish look, but i love that it looks just like what it is: a great tea kettle.
- Heats about 1 quart of liquid, wish it held more. Very efficient, 4-5 mins per batch. Power cord is the on-off switch and would have liked it to be longer. Nubs on base help stabilize. Sleek and simple design and aesthetic. I use for small servings of hot tea and preheating water for individual cooking.
- No guages, buttons, special timer things. Just put water in, plug in, wait for whistle, and unplug. In a world of things that are over complicated I love items like this.
- The real test on this will be the test of time–how long will it hold up? But at the beginning it is super, boiling just enough water to brew 2 mugs of tea. It is compact, well balanced and very portable. You could travel with it with no trouble. Instructions are clear to unplug before pouring–that way you don’t forget and leave it plugged in when empty.
- I’d had one of these for years and loved it so when there was a kitchen shower for a friend, I knew the circumstances and knew that she would have a great use for this.
- I bought this for an elderly Irish woman who was moving to an Assisted Living Apartment without a stove. She loved her tea when it was brewed with boiling water from a tea kettle. This electric kettle is a great substitute and she loves it! She is so happy now to make her tea and hear the whistle when the water is just the right temperature. Great price, quick service! - Was inoperable brand new out of the box. Unfortunately, since it was a gift for a person who doesn’t live anywhere near a Walmart, and it would cost more to mail it to me to return than the thing is worth, it was just blown money.
