- Our dghtr is special needs and also has a wider skull. Sensory issues, plus the size of her skull has made it very difficult to find and keep her in a helmet. This fits the frame of her head much better than most, and she has not been complaining about it fitting too tight like the typical helmet does, even after we adjust the straps to secure it. Not sure what makes it fit better because it looks like a typical helmet, but it has been a positive purchase for us. We also found it $5.00 cheaper online than the price in the store. The store packaging had a + 8 for the size, and the one we received from our online purchase did not have a size range on it, but they are the same helmet.
