- Ordered two of these to finally get my craft room organized. The boxes arrived with several dings on the outside so I was worried inside might have some damage. After unpacking everything I was happy to find it was all in great shape. Easy instructions as long as you pay attention. It took about an hour 1/2 to put together (2 people). I do wish the whole unit was just a bit larger. The cube storage area is smaller than my other cube storage (yes, I read dimensions before ordering) and will have to find baskets to fit but overall I’m very happy to have found these!
- Nice looking desk when assembled. Good height, and the cubby squares are generous enough for craft/art paper, colored pencils, small projects, medium sized models, paints, et cetera. The bottom inside cubbies are good for hiding less attractive supplies. Selection of desk contents is easy, since a glance and a grab is all it takes. The bottom sections of the desk were not easy to mount and tighten. The cam locks had to be inserted carefully and a few needed repositioned with a small screwdriver. The holes for the cam locks were too deep and the stud wouldn’t insert completely. One cam still twists around, but everything is tight so that it is solid and sturdy enough.
- Overall I am happy with the desk despite all the struggles I had with it (some of it were my fault others I believe were not). To start with the desk arrived on time with no damage so that’s a plus. The assembling instructions could have been better. For some Steps I didn’t know which piece to attach together or where I should insert the wooden dowel when connecting k and l together. For me personally it was easy to assemble the two bottom legs and top part but when it came to putting it all together and tightening the cam locks that’s when I needed help. For someone who knows how to assemble things like this and have experience I’m sure it isn’t a problem but I am a small petite woman and there was no way I was able to attach everything together by myself. When I got a second hand to help the person was able to do it in a blink of an eye and was able to help me finish assembling it within 1-2 hours. I also called numerous time to the phone number they provided and they were quite helpful. They even sent me replacement pieces twice without any trouble. Overall I would recommend this if a you have expierence and are able to do this on your own or b if you have someone who can help you or a local handyman in your town. Also I would recommend to be gentle when using a hammer because you can damage your pieces ( this happened to me).
- I bought this desk and had it shipped to a Walmart store near my home. Little damage to box but not the desk, thank goodness. I opened the box laid out all the boards & nails, and look at the instructions. Put it together with no help what so ever. I can see why some say this desk is a two person job. But if you know how to follow the instructions thoroughly, with steady hands, and patience no problem. There is one minor problem, some of the backing on the shelves they were not fully aligned for nailing into the wood. Made some adjustments, and it’s holding pretty good. My new desk is very sturdy. I am saving to get a smaller shelf of the same brand.
- Easy to assemble, feels very sturdy when it’s all put together. Desktop is larger than it looks, the cubicles hold LOTS of stuff! May be purchasing a second one for hubby!
- Love everything about it. I did not put it together and from what I was told it took about 3-4 hours to put together. But it is as described and I love love love it!
- This desk is extremely complicated to put together and extremely flimsy once complete. The glue that is provided is not sufficient and doesn’t bond anything to anything. this desk has to be in a corner so that is it supported on two sides.
