- Let’s get the negatives out of the way. The instructions are HORRIBLE. Once we took a breather and figured out that there isn’t hardware to this, it went smoothly after that. Everything was wrapped and protected, sturdy shipping boxes and it all arrived in pristine condition in a shipment of two boxes. You have to have a truck in order to pick it up at the store. The measurements are spot on; fits nicely in our living room with other furniture. The bonded leather is a really pretty brown that’s blends in so nicely with the neutral tones in our house. The Velcro on the back cushions helps to keep it in place. It is stiff at first, but over all it is very comfortable. I purchased a set of 20″ and a set of 18″ throw pillows to help with the comfort, since the arms aren’t as soft as the rest. We have purchased “discount” faux leather from a well known discount store in the past, and it fell apart and cost much more than this piece. My family loves it, and it was worth the money for sure. We have a toddler at home, and didn’t want to spend a ton, but wanted something with real leather in it. This is the way to go.
- So pleased with this purchase and plan on purchasing the matching pieces to go with it. I was nervous ordering a couch I hadn’t seen in person, but the value and size were ideal. I was astounded when the sofa arrived and how easy it was to assemble (all pieces easily slide together, no hardware needed) and how incredibly comfortable the couch turned out to be. The cushions are firm but extremely comfortable, meaning they won’t lost their shape as you sink into them. The back is squishy and supportive and the entire couch fits perfectly in an apartment. Toss some throw pillows against the arms and you have a perfect addition to your living room.
- The back cushions are not 100% bonded brown leather. In fact, they are 75% bonded brown leather, and are not reversible. They appear to be covered in a thin black fabric. The back of the couch is also covered in something other than the bonded brown leather. If placed away from a wall, it would show the two-toned colors/fabrics. Walmart should update the description and pictures to reflect a more accurate picture. Although, I returned this item for a shipping issue, I thought it helpful that others know what the couch looks like overall to avoid any disappointment upon arrival. I will say that the bonded brown leather is nice looking, but I would have liked the entire couch to be covered in such as described. The item ships in two boxes, and one box made it to me in a few weeks – not as specified on the site. Despite the delay, Fed-X, brought my box all the way in the house without having to ask – THANK YOU Fed-X! Box 2 never made it to me, and the shipping company, “EFW” (other delivery company), was unable to provide a date. This box contained the arms which holds the entire couch together, apparently. Thus, the couch/frame can’t be assembled without such. “EFW” was not willing to work with me on times to deliver, and had sent an email about dropping package off to nearest “dry spot” – where exactly that would be was unclear. However, they did make mention of upgrading shipping (additional shipping fees would apply). Did I mention, box 2 only contained the “arms” of the couch – smaller of the two boxes. Food for thought – without customers ….. there would be no deliveries! Just a Note: Fed-X brought my package up my stairs and set it inside my house without request or hassle – just another thank you for being so professional!!! Oh, and I could track the first box with no trouble – whether on truck or at a facility.
