- We have very steep deck stairs and this gate was a great inexpensive option to keep our toddlers from going down the stairs. The latch is a little tricky, as others have stated – but it’s not a problem at all. I rather it be a little difficult to open so I don’t have to worry about my boys figuring it out too soon. We have had this gate installed outside for over a year and have had no problems.
- We were very excited to get our gates up. They look good and were reasonably easy to install after purchasing stainless steel hardware for outdoor use. My concern is that the safety latch is flimsy and it doesn’t lock firmly. I would not recommend them for this reason. Probably ok for the pup but a concern with our 1 year old grandson.
- Needed a gate for my above ground pool deck. This was a very economic way to do so. I am happy with this gate so far and would recommend this to anyone.
- I bought this gate for both our dogs and our granddaughter. It was a little hard to put together at first. It does have two different sizes of extensions that you can get for this. If I knew this when I ordered it I think it would have been easier to put together.
- Just bought two of these and love them! Bars a little too far apart for a little dog so we added a small piece of lattice and now the gate works great. Product is made very durable so it should last a long time.
