- I do love this shelf, but mine arrived damaged. When contacting Hayneedle about fixing the problem- they could not offer me a replacement piece to complete my shelf, only to send it back for a refund. I decided to keep it as repacking this large shelf seemed like a lot of work. A tad disappointing, but still really like my shelf.

- This is what I was looking for. Open nice sturdy piece of real wood, bookshelf. Assembly (pretty simple) I brought two and put both together all by myself-(female power) lol. Great Book shelf!!
- The specs detail given for this bookshelf were what made me order it. The shelf measurement being listed as: width 29.5″ x depth 12″. This measurement is for the TOP of the shelf, not the ACTUAL shelves, which measure: width 25″ x depth 10″. I got this shelf for the purpose of storing plastic craft boxes, each measuring 14″ width. I had in mind to store two to a shelf, total width being 28″, with an inch to spare, based on the specs quoted in the shelf (product) description. I will say the description is deceptive, and definitely not accurate. Instead of storing the two containers per shelf as I had intended, I can only store one, or find something else to use this shelf for. Additionally, and this important, it is unstable!! At least on carpet. We are going to have to bolt it to the wall if there is anything of solid weight on it. If a child were touch this, I can certainly see the whole thing coming down on them. Maybe it would be best on a regular floor, no carpet, but the fact that it rocks back and forth….I wouldn’t take the chance. It is attractive, I will give it that. Perhaps it could be useful in a flat, where one has artsy, small decorations for display, but I certainly won’t recommend it for anyone who needs sturdy, solid bookshelves, or for a home with children.
