- I bought 3 of these in the 4′ 6″ length. They are nicely made, made in the USA, and I am very happy with them. The fit and finish is good, though there are a few spots that I’ll sand lightly. These are of sturdy construction and will fit the bill nicely for some river tripping!

- I chose for the value. Better than some at the same price or a little more. As others have stated, this paddle has a rough finish. It wouldn’t hurt to lightly sand and add another coat of polyurethane or marine finish (sealer) of some kind. Not flimsy, integrated, paddle cut from one piece. Nothing to fall off unless it breaks, and sturdy enough not to break. Using with a 10′ Aluminum rowboat with transom, good enough for two to fish from. Worked well around a less populated area of the lake. Not an oar, but could be mounted to rowlocks for this boat. 4.5′ great for canoes I suspect.
- I purchased this paddle as an outdoor nautical decoration, but it is so substantial I’m sure it would be great when used for it’s intended purpose! We were SO pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. The finish is smooth, not rough as I had seen others comment, and the color is outstanding. I would highly recommend! In fact, we bought two more!
