- I have used this 3 times now and couldn’t be more pleased. I don’t have to spray it before use. the surface is very non stick. The waffles come out easily and cooked perfectly. They take about 5 min. to cook as the directions suggest. Very easy to clean up. a wonderful product for the price.
- I think the removable plates is a nice idea. I had misgivings about it because of the reviews but figured as long as I dry it properly, it should work well. It did and the wait time is only about 4 minutes ( I put a little less batter in). The problem arose, however, when the upper plate would no longer stay in place. That first time–ouch! It was hot. Afterwards, I had to check to make sure the upper plate was secure before plugging it in to heat it up. I’ve been more and more frustrated with it; but now, I just pull down on that metal “clip” to make sure it’s “down” enough to hold the plate in place. Probably will be buying a different one in the near future.
- This is an excellent waffle maker!! It is compact and easy to store. I love it, because the plates are removable and easy to clean! I don’t understand the negative comments on how long it takes to cook. I let my waffle maker preheat before I started making waffles, the first batch to about 7 minutes and then the next batches cooked a little faster, as the waffle iron was a little hotter. This amount of time does not seem ridiculous! I made several waffles and I’m freezing the remainder to put in the microwave for a quick breakfast. As for the people who are complaining that it takes too long to cook waffles for their family, they should have purchased a waffle maker that cooks more waffles at one time. I am happy that I purchased this waffle maker and that I didn’t pay attention to the negative reviews!
- I’ve been reading some of the reviews left about this Farberware Removable Plate Waffle Maker and am surprised at some of the derogatory remarks that’ve been made. First, this is obviously for making 2 waffles at a time so why all the fussing about how long it takes to make waffles for an entire family?? Really? As for the problem with how long it takes, I wasn’t very disappointed. It took about 8-9 minutes for the waffles to cook with a nice golden top and bottom to them, which isn’t really all that bad, is it?!? The problem that one person had with it creating a lot of water inside is baffling to me, as mine does create steam but that’s addressed in the instructions. If that waffle maker had water running out of it when they went to store it, there must have been a defect in that one because mine doesn’t do that at all. Just a little steam when it starts to cook, which is normal. All in all, I would definitely recommend this little waffle maker for feeding one or two people. If you’re feeding a whole family, look for a bigger waffle maker. DUH. It is perfect for me and makes perfect little waffles.
- work fine. I just want to know if they sell, or make other plates for waffles? I don’t want to buy another waffle iron of regular waffles. I would recommend if someone just wanted Belgium waffles. Does any one know If they have other plates?
