• Great razor. Used many times smooth shave. Great handle easy to hold on to
• This razor worked perfectly the first two times I shaved my legs. However, while the razors stayed sharp, the surrounded moisturizing strips were dull by my third shave. This isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker for me, as the blades still worked well and the razor head is flexible enough to mold to curves. It was just a small disappointment. The moisturizing strips seem more like a gimmick than a real benefit. The color faded and material dulled after two shaves. Perhaps Gillette should use a different material to act as a sort of buffer around the razors.
• I waited to write this review for a while on purpose, because I really wanted to know what this razor could do. Let me tell you. I love this razor! I will probably never buy a different kind ever again. This razor left my legs feeling so smooth for so long with no nicks and no rough patches, it just glides over your skin. The razor has 5 blade blades, the blades are surrounded by a moisture strip, all the way around and not just the too or just bottom but all the way around. It’s easy to move and maneuver, it has a handle that kind of curves to your fingertips and it has a non-slip grip which is really important when your hands are soapy. I had a really extremely close shave without getting any nicks or cuts I even used it on my underarm. It was just smooth flowing over the skin surface. Even after a couple of days my legs were still smooth almost silky feeling. Thank you Gillette, so much for allowing me to try this Venus Embrace for free this was an awesome experience.
• I have used this for about six years now and tried to go back to less blades but nothing works as well as Venus Embrace and once you use this item, you will never want anything else.
• I trialed the Gillette Venus Embrace Razor, free from Gillette. First, it is worth mentioning that the packaging for this razor is extremely easy to open. Usually you have to risk your life to open the plastic packaging with a box cutter. However, Gillette finally did it right with an easy open package. So, with easy access to the razor I was able to save time and get right to shaving. I was equally as impressed with the razor and the close shave it offered. I usually use men’s razors on a reusable razor base. But this disposable razor rivals the quality of the men’s razor. I would consider switching when I run out of refills for my other razor.
• I think that this is an exceptional razor. When I shave my legs and they are either super hairy or just need a touch up this razor comes through. My legs always end up soft and nice to touch. The blades last a while before they become too dull for me. I normally get around 2 weeks for each set of blades. The blades are interchangeable on the handle, so if you want to try something different it is great. Just keep the handle and pick up some refills. They may be a little pricey, but considering the amount I can use these compared to normal disposables it is good.
• Thanks to Bzzzagent I received a free kit with the Venus embrace razor and shaving cream !!! I used it in the shower after a few days of not shaving my legs it worked wonderfully!!! Smooth silky legs in no time. Wonderful results and I will definitely buy these products to keep on hand
• I used this razor after a few days of a stubble. The first time I used it I had substantial hair growth. I wanted to see how well this razor would handle short stubbly regrowth. It handled beautifully! Artfully navigating the curves of my knees and calves with no nicks or cuts! The blades remained sharp after several uses and rinsed clean after each pass. My legs were so touchably soft for the rest of the week! I was truly surprised by this razor but it has continued to go above and beyond my expectations.
• This used to be my absolute favorite razor but lately, the blades start rusting within the first 2-3 days. These are far too expensive for that. Will not buy again.
