- I bought this to try out a version of Google Home at a cheaper price. It works exactly how I want it to. Now I’m looking forward to the mini developing even more capability.
- I switched from Amazon Echo Dot to this. Im very happy as I use mostly Android services and none of them work on the Echo. The assistant is so much better than the Echo as it has the entire google database to search and answer your questions. My only complaint is sometimes it doesnt pick up when I say the OK Google command.
- The Google Home Mini is a perfect small device for using Google Assistant in your home. For only $50 it’s well worth it. The speakers are perfect for voice responses, and still decent for music. I use ours in conjunction with a full-size Google Home and a Google Chromecast Audio.
- Bought to check it out and because of Google Express Credit. Very impressed, you can do a lot of things without looking at your phone. Save time, spare your eye strain.
- This is so great product Pros. – Works well with my TV with Chromecasr(1st gen) stick, so I can turn on/off TV as well as I can play youtube by voice command. – Works well with my Nest Thermostat (3rd gen), so I can check current room temperature and I can set the temperature through this device. – Phone call function works well, so I can call US/Canada by voice – either calling manual number or calling by my own contact lists(from google account) – Its recognition/understanding gets better after some usages. (I.e. “Turn off the living room TV” -> “TV Off”) Cons It cannot be working as a bluetooth handset but it is only working as an A2DP speaker. This does not include a “headset” profile. (maybe it is H/W or S/W limitation due to its own call functions?)
