- The best feature about the slow cooker is the programmable function, easy to work. You don’t have to worry about turning it off or keeping time. The large size makes it easy to cook a whole chicken which turned out really well. Clean up was easy either wash by hand or put it in the dishwasher.
- I can’t believe how much I use this cooker. I set a stainless bowl of grits and water in it at night, set the temp for low and the time for 10 hours and it is ready when I get up. It is idea for soups, chili and stews. I even cook the Thanksgiving turkey (breast sitting on a vegetables) in it and the results were wonderful. Up to poultry temperature, nice brown skin. Finally I made corn pudding. That I had set on low temperature for 8 hours. It needed more like 16 hours. If you cook that, use high temperature all the way and check it after 6 hours.
- Have used this a few times and I am pleased with the results. I like the programmable feature so I can leave the house and not worry about the food over cooking.
- I was unhappy with the loose fit of the cover — 1/2-inch gaps on either side– thus it took much longer to cook my meal. I would stuff the openings with foil next time I use it. Otherwise it is very acceptable.
- Just like another reviewer that gave it one star, I literally used it three times. The next time, the lights still came on but it didn’t even get warm to the touch. I thought it might have been a user error, but today my $13 roast I put in the this morning was raw as it was when I put it in. The lights were still on, but 8 hours later…not a bit of heat. It is going back and I am trading for Crock Pot brand.
