- This item was obtained because I tend to hold stress in my neck and shoulder area. I have not tried the heat function yet, but I have used the vibrate function. The vibration does a fair job of relieving the tightness of stress affected muscles. The vibrate function has two (2) different speeds, which can be used as preferred. There is a timer on the operation of this unit, which limits the length of time it can be used in a ‘session’. I like the option of being able to use it as battery operated or being plugged into an electrical outlet. The user manual recommends that you do not rest against furniture etc., because that will block the air vents and cause it to overheat. That was a little disappointing, since I had anticipated being able to relax back in an armchair while using the massager. Having to sit upright with your back unsupported is not the most comfortable position for relaxing, but the vibrations still generate “some” relief. If you are looking for a massager to stimulate ultimate relaxation, this is NOT the one. The user manual also discourages use of the heat function without checking with your doctor if you have certain health conditions and/or situations. This warning makes me a bit apprehensive about feeling completely safe while using the heat function. I guess that’s why I have been reluctant to try it. This massager is ‘okay’, but I’m not impressed.
- This is an okay product. It will not relieve you of any medical problems; however, it will provide you a nice, warm, vibrating sensation. It can be relaxing if you take a few minutes of quiet time for yourself, provided you can get past the light buzzing sound. I do appreciate the adapter that’s included as I did not have batteries on hand. Overall, for the price, it’s a nice gesture for someone who maybe sits at a computer all day. I took mine to my office and I use it in the afternoon for about 30 minutes. If your office, or workplace , is very chilly like mine then you’ll appreciate the warm sensation if nothing else.
- The HoMEDICS Neck and Shoulder Massager with heat is very relaxing. It works on house current or 2 AA batteries so you can use it at home, in the car, or anywhere. For those of you who get stiff necks driving or as a passenger in a car here is your answer because you can wear this as you drive without it hindering you. I like to sit back in my recliner and put this on. It has 2 buttons. One for heat and one for vibrate and it feels very good once it heats up. I just wish it closed closer to the neck so it would fit tighter so I could feel it more however a small piece of material on each side so it will catch each side will do the trick. For right now I lay back on it in my recliner an sometimes just hold the end together so the heat and the vibration is more intense. It only runs for ten minutes before it stops and has to be restarted. That is the only setback because I would like to doze off and have it run for twenty minutes or more. I also love to use this and the HoMEDICS FootSalon Pro at the same time.
- Here’s another great HoMedics product. Their neck massager unit came as a pleasant surprise. Was unaware of its existence until recent. Due to degenerative bone disease, this item is well-appreciated. Comfort and relief from the pain and discomfort. No doubt daily stress afflicts many…well this will help with tight, strained tissue matters. You can have it run in a few ways: massage (vibrato-high or low settings), heat, or both heat and massage. This item can be used w/ batteries or you can go the a/c route; plug it in, kick back and enjoy. The heat feature quickly comes on. No lengthy waiting period. Impressive. Very comfortable. This is something that will take care of that pain in your neck.
