- I formally had a programmable type thermostat and I’m certain that it had great qualities but I just did not need right zones programmed. This is simple on/off heat/cool and the temperature you want… More what I needed
- Basic and Reliable as long as you notice the icon to replace batteries once a year. Has a comfortably set temperature range to the next cycle for heat or cooling. You can easily remember to switch it off when you leave.
- This thermostat was simple to mount and wire, i had two wires and i push them in place and tighten the screws, done. I needed a thermostat that was simple to program, one touch of the button shows you what the heat is set at and the next touch of the button will move the temp up or down. Leave it alone and it changes back to the room temp. It really can’t get any easier.
- This device from Honeywell does exactly what it’s supposed to do. However, I do have two concerns that should be mentioned. I installed this myself and I’m no stranger to wiring. If your existing thermostat has uses a “common” wire, (usually blue), do NOT connect it to this device. It will blow the DC transformer fuse on your heater and nothing will work after that. The instructions DO mention not using it but not soon enough. I think it should be the first thing they tell you since in my case, it took a $167.00 service call to sort out the problem and the technician made exactly the same mistake I did on his first attempt. Forewarned is fore armed. Secondly, the unit itself is not nearly as large as advertised. In reality, it measures about 4.75″ wide, 3.5″ high and .75″ deep. Once correctly installed it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

- It does what it says it should and that is all I could expect it to do. The best thing is, it is simple, turn on, turn off, hot, cold and fan. PERFECT. And at this price who can beat it.
- I am using this thermostat in a rather non-standard way, but as a thermostat none-the-less. I built a control box around it that will keep my RV water pipes from freezing in the winter by controlling (switching on/off) a small electric space heater. It will also be used while camping to control the temperature in the RV. I did have to refer to the Honewell website to find more technical data but it does wire up like a regular thermostat.

- My old dial type Honeywell thermostat never worked properly with the air-conditioning system. After 12 years of dealing with constantly having to turn the dial down and up to get the correct temperature, I finally decided to upgrade to a digital thermostat. When I went to install the unit my wires didn’t match with the directions. The wires coming out of the wall had two white wires and one of the white wires was hooked up to where a yellow wire should have been, If your wires coming out of the wall are not the proper colors, I drew a diagram of the old system showing how the wires were hooked up on the old thermostat and I took close up pictures just in case. Since one of the two white wires was being used as a yellow wire, I assumed it should be hooked up that way on the new one. I called customer service on a Saturday, and provided the female all of the old thermostat information and she looked it up in the computer and confirmed that I should continue to use the white wire as a yellow wire. The little paper labels they give you to mark the wires is a great idea, but they kept falling off, so I used color markers to mark the wires. I’m embarrassed to say it took me 4 hours to hook it up, but I had to jerry rig a face plate because this one didn’t match up. I hooked it up and tested it out, and as far as the air conditioning temperature settings, it’s right on the money. Will see how it works with the heat, to hot to try it out in the summer. Great product and excellent customer service help.
- I bought one and it came in broken so I exchanged it for another one at my local Walmart and the only way it would work was to turn the switch off and then put it back on. So I ended up buying from a different company a different style and it works great. Would not recommend this item
