• I have use the Fre cases ever since I got my 4S, and started using it on a daily basis in a busy veterinary hospital. This poor guy rides in my coat pocket and gets pulled out frequently to check doses, protocols etc on every shift, and has fallen out of pockets, off tables, and once was even bitten by a dog on the corner. Despite all that, there are just a few dings in the hard plastic (from hitting rough concrete in a barn), couple almost imperceptible scratches over the screen protector, and no damage to function. It regularly gets cleaned with hospital disinfectants, and survives. Every time I upgrade a phone, it is in mint condition except for battery life. When not at work, it goes kayaking in my PFD pocket and hiking in my backpack strap pocket, and is frequently taken out to take pictures before being stuffed back. Have never had a leak despite many times falling out of the boat and several hikes in the rain. Now I will be replacing again with the 7 Fre version and hope to have the same luck again. I only wish you still made the foam “floatie” to put on the case 9for water sports) that you had made for the 4S. I miss it.
• Bought it 3 weeks ago and have dropped it a couple of times with no problems.
• Like the durability of case, the built in screen protector takes some getting used to, but that’s to be expected . Loved the ability to choose different color combos for inside and outside shell.
• We love the fact that it is here for Christmas and will be a surprise for our daughter. Not opened yet! Our oldest told us to buy it!
• Got the Fre for my wife but my daughter snatched it. She loves it and won’t give it up. Guess I”ll have to get another one for my wife.
• I bought this case because the one that the company I work for specs for us is too bulky and not waterproof. I wanted to be able to slide this phone into my pocket. That wasn’t possible with the other case. This case is so durable not only have I dropped it many times and even kicked it across the parking lot but I put it in my tool bag while I am working up on ladders. It is very handy to have it close by and know that it safe, even when I am working in the pouring rain because it’s waterproof. I had the same case for the iphone 4s for three years and when I turned the phone back in to upgrade to the iPhone 6 it’s still was in mint condition. Sure it gets scratched, but it’s the best tool in my tool bag… And it still worked great with the fingerprint scanner a year later.
• Case provides excellent protection, however, the charger opening is too small as well as develops small fractures/cracks easily where it snaps together and it could do with a better home button covering
• I have had two of these cases and they are the best available in my opinion. My phone is about two years old and the phone looks brand new. I have dropped the slipery phone a few times and the case has protected the phone perfectly. The case al;so gives me a much better grip on the phone. I take the phone to the beach, camping, and in the hot tub without any fears. The best part if the service and support the LifeProof team provides. On the iPhone 6 there is a fingerprint reader that is covered with a clear rubber like membrane. Well, over time the membrane fails. The 1 year warranty covered this and they were happy to rush me out a brand new case. Well, the membrane just failed again after about 11 months and I asked to see if I could buy just that membrane. They e-mailed me back and said no way…we will send you a new case. I had explained that I purchased the case way more than a year ago and they did not care and have shipped a new case already. That is the kind of company you can count on and enjoy doing business with. I tried the Otterbox before on an iPhone 5s and it was good but when it cracked the support was resistive and it was not water / dust proof. Way to go LifeProof!!
• I had used Otterbox for years, but decided to try Lifeproof. I bought this a year ago and it started falling apart almost immediately. the protector over the camera and flash on the back ripped within a couple weeks. The clasp at the bottom protecting the power slot snapped off after about 4 months, the screen over the home button pealed off after about 6 months, the power button extender wore off after 7 months, and the screen on the back over the Apple logo came off after 9 months. Definitely going back to Otterbox.
