The Mainstays Twin Storage Bed in a beautiful Hazelwood finish features under-bed storage with the option of placing the two storage drawers on the left or the right hand side. The headboard has an adjustable center shelf with two open bookshelves and can be used for your alarm clock, books and other personal items. The bed orientation can easily be reversed and is made of engineered wood that features a laminated finish. Got this bed for a 50lb 4 year old, hoping it would last a few years. A lot of work to put together. You get what you pay for, a solid wooden bed would cost $400+ brand new. Make sure you tell your child(ren)… No jumping!
This bed came in two heavy boxes , took about five hours to assemble. Other than that I love it , nice sturdy bed I plan to keep Around for years. Upgraded this bed for my son from his toddler bed and he completely loves it !
Beautiful bed! Took me all day to put together, but that was just me by myself (mom). The drawers are huge with a divider in each, so it is like getting four drawers! My son loves it…great purchase!
These beds were exactly what I was looking for. I purchased two of them for my children. Putting them together was time consuming but I found it easy as the directions were clear. I am slightly surprised at how strong and sturdy they are especially for what they cost. If you don’t mind building them yourself I would highly recommend them.
Had this bed delivered to our college daughters new home. Great they offered free shipping. The boxes were heavy though we opened them up where they were delivered and managed. It came with many pieces and 25 pages of instructions, which were easily to follow, it just took hours to piece it together. They recommended not using a power tool, so it was a lot of screwing. But the end result was great and we are very satisfied with the bed.
Overall we really like this bed. We bought it for my two year old son because we needed the drawers underneath so we could get rid of the dresser in his room to make more space. The drawers are large and perfect for his cloths as he grows we will have to bring the dresser back in but right now its perfect. It was pretty time consuming to put together but it was what I expected. The bed is good quality and the directions were great. The only complaint I have with it is we bought a new mattress for it and it doesn’t fit snug in there so at the end there is about a 2 inch gap between the mattress and the end board. My son loves it because he drives his cars in there but I just expected it to fit tight. Might not be the bed could just depend on the mattress you buy!
We bought 2 of these beds. The instructions were good. It does take about 3 hours. We have a rachet screwdriver, which I would highly recommend. The is very nice. We like the color. It seems like a really terrific bed for the price.
I bought 2 of these beds at the beginning of June 2014. This is now the end of August 2014 and both beds are broken and falling apart. The headboard separated from the bed frame, the middle supports for the mattress busted, and the drawers fell apart. My children do nothing on their beds but sleep, one son is 9 and weighs 60 pounds and the other is 3 and weighs 32 pounds. I would NOT recommend this bed for any reason.
