- The only thing I really don’t like about this was the horizontal bars don’t lock. So if you extend them all the way out to the left and right, the dog can just push them right back in. Fortunately my dog is too big to squeeze past even when they are in. I HIGHLY recommend zip tying this to the headrest of the seat, as others have said. It held up ok the first 2 times but the repeated bouncing must have loosened the bolts and it fell down. My new rescue dog is pretty out of control in the car, so he needs to be contained for all of our safety. I actually recommend adding another product for a crazy car dog- Pet Corrector. It’s aerosol spray (for the sound) that you use with your command for calming down (I say “enough”) so when combined with this barrier we can travel somewhat normally. But like I said, for $32 and some zip ties, this barrier is good enough.
- Good price. Works well as long as the dogs aren’t pounding on it. If you have big dogs get a full cage.
- No surprises with this product. It fit in the back of my 2014 Honda CRV although the roof is uneven.
- Nice quality product that installs fairly easily. Good buy and sturdy. Would recommend to others.
- This product looks great and is easy to install. I have a fairly large dog (German Shepard) who found it very easy to knock this thing down rather quickly. As others have stated if you use a couple of bungee cords to secure it to the headrest it will stay in place, otherwise be prepared to say hello to your best friend when he climbs into your front seat while you’re driving.
- This product fit perfectly in my Mazda 5. The directions and the video did not say to losen the screw before inserting the pole. Maybe everyone knows that, but it took me awhile to figure that out. When I did, putting it together went quickly.
- This worked well in my new Jeep Patriot. The only drawback is that the rubber suckers used to hold it in place are brittle and didn’t hold well to fabric…so I tied a bungee cord across the unit to hold it in place.
- My bars don’t fit into the feet very well just kind of sitting on them but not going inside so the fall of but still better than paying $90 at pet smart. It goes do the job with my dog. Toyota RAV4 4 owner. One side of my interior ceiling is shorter than the other to accommodate a middle seat seatbelt the rod is adjustable so I adjusted the left bar to be shorter
- Pet could push right thru the sides as the side positioning does not lock in place and is flimsy. Top and bottom fit great but functionally not ideal. Disappointing..
