The A/C worked great for a bedroom .I bought 8 units ty
Our old 8000 btu unit died so we bought this one. At only 6000 btu it cools our bedroom much better than our old one. It has a funny ping type noise which from what I’ve read is the water splashing on the coils. You can take the drain plug out but it states it won’t run as efficiently. I’ve gotten used to the noise. Not any noisier than any other window ac. Works with our Harmony remote set up. Easy to install. Seems to work well.
Our old air conditioner was a zenith. I loved it because it was so quiet. We purchased a LG from another store, but it had Waa Waa Waa sound going on. This Haier air conditioner has a nice even sound, and cools real well.
If you buy this ac a heads up! Make sure you remove the black drain plug under the bottom to allow the water to drain. I didn’t at first then it started making rattling fan noise. It was because that plug was not removed. As soon I removed it the rattling stop. It’s really cools the room. I really like you can adjust the vents with a up and down vent and side by side something I don’t have on one of my 5000 btu kenmore unit.
So this summer has been super hot I bought this unit for my room I live in a two bed room apartment we had a unit in the front I wanted to purchase another. Compared to my other unit it is not that noisy. Dose not get super duper cold but I can tell a drastic difference
Item had some minor shipping damage, but nothing that would hinder good operation. It’s fairly loud. I have several other Haier units that are two, three and four years old. All of them are doing very well and I expect the same from this new unit. I bought this brand because of prior good experience with the products.
Placed in spare bedroom in house with no central A/C. Set to 79 degrees with the energy-saver on, just to keep the room from ever getting humid or too hot. Taken out at end of season and stored inside along with 3 other units. Installed this weekend (5/30/17) and it barely blows cool air. The unit is immaculate. There is no mold on the inside styrofoam (which I see in other units). From what I read online… it is impractical and not worth it to try recharging the coolant. Poor quality if a unit treated with care doesn’t last beyond 2 summers!!!!! Can’t trust the manufacturer and I’m not rich so I can’t afford to waste money on window units that don’t last a lick.
