This is a very spacious tent. We had 2 queen size mattresses in the tent with plenty of room to spare. It was also fairly easy to put together. The first time using this tent we had very heavy rains that night. We stayed dry all night long.
Very spacious and durable! We went hiking and got caught in a really bad storm and had to wait it out a few hours,upon returning to tent,only a very small corner was damp inside and dried out fast….5 of us with two queen air mattresses and a full air mattress fit inside nice with a little room to spare.
Pretty good tent it rained a few days and held strong. We took on very little water
The tent was way bigger then I initially thought. Very room and has great air flow.
Tent looks well made. Read the manual first. The manual advises to seal seams. Some seams are sealed with tape. I sealed all seams, zipper cloth (fly and tent) with 2 GE Silicone II Clear Caulk, 10.1-Ounce Cartridge #GE5000 and mineral spirits 50:50 ratio. Used 1 and 1/2 silicone. Also 1 Small can of Klean mineral spirts. My tent should be ready for heavy rain.
Before our trip, we set the tent up at our house for a week. We had rain the entire time and it was perfectly fine, storming rain, windy rain. No issues. Went camping for a week. My 9 year old daughter and myself (31 year old woman) got the tent up in about 20 minutes. It rained all week and no issues. We had a huge amount of room, could easily fit our family of 4 and some. Would recommend this tent. My husband is 6 ft and could easily stand and get around. We got extra stakes to secure the tent. We had an instant tent before and we prefer this tent. Better quality, not hard to put up and safe from the storms.
Did not test this against harsh conditions. The tent had 4 kids and 4 adults. Everyone fit comfortably. The only issue was that the tent was stuffy, and got warm quickly with the sun beaming above it. There was light rain and the tent held up. At night it got down to 40 degrees, and we were warm along with the sleeping bags. The wind was kind of rowdy, but we didn’t have the stakes down all the way because of the dirt.
I am extremely disappointed in Walmart on this purchase!!! This tent lasted one season. I properly cared for the tent during use and then stored as directed in a cool and dry place. Upon putting tent up again for my kids and I to hangout and have sleep overs the tent the next day in a MILD wind just blew into pieces. The fabric coating must not have been applied properly or something???… never had this happen before… Walmart said – no credit towards another tent and NO refund… NOT HAPPY!!!!! I understand its the manufactures fault for the tent lasting only one summer but I “WAS” buying from Walmart to avoid hours on the phone to a manufacture. I will order from others now.
