- When I received the Better Homes & Gardens 8″ Memory Foam Mattress, I was rather skeptical about the support that it could provide. I am not a small woman, and an 8″ mattress did not sound like it would be enough support for me. I must say that I was surprised, in a good way. When I lie down on the mattress, it firmly but gently conforms to the contours of my body. It caresses my every bend and curve, giving pressure-point relief. It makes me feel almost weightless. This mattress is also rather light-weight. You do not have to break your back when you want to adjust it. The Better Homes & Gardens 8″ Memory Foam Mattress comes with a gray mattress pad cover that is zipped over the mattress. It unzips easily to remove it from the mattress when you are ready to give it a washing. The mattress cover color is really the only thing that I found that I did not like about the mattress. The gray cover is very drab-looking, to me. I believe it would look much more inviting in a light blue.
- I received the Better Homes & Gardens 8″ mattress. from Walmart Spark Reviewer in exchange for an honest review. It really is a comfortable mattress. I had heard about these types of foam mattresses but had never been able to afford to buy one for myself. However, that being said, I think I would have saved and arm and a leg in doctor bills, if I had just purchased one of these mattresses a long time ago. This mattress came curled up in a box. Once out of the box, it started expanding. By the next morning it was fully expanded and ready to put on the bed. So, we removed the old mattress and put this one in it’s place. And let me tell you, the difference was amazing. I finally had a really, good nights’ sleep without tossing and turning all night. This mattress is firm, but yet soft. It just seems to form to my body. I have never slept on such a comfortable mattress. And the best thing, I did not wake up with a back ache, or any aches and pains at all. I like to lie in bed, with my head propped up on pillows and read before going to sleep. Before this mattress, that was even an uncomfortable position. Now, I can read for hours, without discomfort. I highly recommend this mattress.
- I’m writing about the Better Homes and Garden Memory Foam Mattress. When it arrived it was pretty heavy. It has grey and white stripes. It amazes me how a Queen size mattress can just fluff up as it did. So, first place it on your bed where you want it. I couldn’t wait to try it out. It reads to allow up to 48 hours for the bed to expand. Understandably so, I don’t think it took that long. I slept on it the same night. I did not notice any kind of odor. It is a firm mattress but comfortable at the same time. I think it felt like a heavenly balance. It makes you feel pampered no matter how many times you toss and turn. I can say since I have been sleeping on this mattress my back does not bother me when I wake up and I don’t feel stiff. It feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud but so much better. I’m very pleased with this mattress.
- I was sent a Better Homes and Gardens 8″ Mattress from the Spark Reviewer Program. This new mattress came to my door rolled up into a small box as tall as the mattress was wide. I pulled it out of the box and unrolled it in my living room. I just cut the plastic and it came into the shape of a queen size mattress almost immediately. The instructions said to give it 24 to 72 hours to regain its full shape. So I waited about 3 days before actually putting it on my bed. My old mattress was a 12 inch size that was hard to get in and out of the bed with. The new one is just 8 inches so it sits lower and makes climbing in and out of the bed much easier. And I also think that it looks much better not being so tall. After sleeping on the bed my initial thoughts were that it was kind of hard, but after lying there a few minutes it kind of grew on me. The mattress slept very well, actually better than I expected. I think I overslept about two hours the very first night. This may not mean very much to you but for someone that has trouble sleeping that is great news. Another thing that I like is the mattress cover is removable for washing, just zip on and off. The mattress comes with a ten year warranty by Classic Brands and comes packed with card with their customer service number that is available seven days a week. The only complaint I have with this mattress is the odor of the foam and they give you the heads up about that on the Tips card enclosed in the box. It does take a few days of use for the odor to go away. But other than the odor I would recommend the mattress.
- I did not do a review on Modern Sleep Adjustable Comfort Posture+ Adjustable Bed with Massage because I received an eight inch BHG Gel Memory form mattress in a queen size instead and I am completing the review on it. The mattress was easy to bring into the house and place on the bed frame. My opinion of this mattress is not that advantageous. I did not sleep well and I woke up with pain in my back, neck and head. I thought that it might be because it needed to settle and air out a little more because it was stated in the information that came with it that some people are sensitive to the odor emitted from the mattress. I open my windows, turned on the ceiling fan, and left the mattress uncovered. So after another night’s sleep things have gotten a little bit better. It has aired out and I am not feeling any discomforts now. This mattress also comes with a 10 year limited warranty. It is recommended that this mattress be placed on a good quality foundation firm surface and never on coil box spring. It is also recommended that we do not use heating pads or electric blankets because prolong uses may cause damage the mattress. Base on that not being to use my heating pad or electric blanket this mattress would not be a good fit for me because I use my electric blanket a lot and my heating pad just about every day.
