- I bought enough other pieces in this collection from BH&G, to allow for 12 complete place settings. As with the dinner plates/salad plates/appetizer plates/appetizer bowls/soup-cereal bowls…these do not disappoint in the least! I’d previously purchased one of these square serving bowls in the store, so knew it was great quality. The porcelain is substantial, but not super-heavy. The color is true white, not off-white, ivory, or cream. They go easily from oven or microwave to table, and then to dishwasher. There’s also a separate 2-platter set (different sizes) available…I’m getting that and the gravy boats next! Another plus: I haven’t broken or even chipped any of the pieces, but if I actually did, many can be bought in-store as well as online. Win-win!
