I am expecting twins and I just purchased two of these car seats in stores. When I got home I inspected them. They are very lightweight even with the base attached. I would recommend this seat, but if you would like more cushion, then you would definitely need to add some. I cannot wait to put my LO’s in them. I only gave this four stars due to the twins not being here yet.
This car seat is very lightweight compared to other car seats I have owned witch makes it easier to carry even with my baby in it. The price was great also and those are the 2 main reasons we purchased this particular seat. My daughter is only 3 months right now and weighs 12lbs so she fits in it rather well. The only downfall to this seat is that when she was born and not able to hold her head up she would be laying on the side of the seat so I suggest buying a body positioner for this seat to keep their head up and positioned. Now that she is able to hold her head up it’s not a problem but definitely buy a body positioner insert if buying this for a newborn. The fabric is easy to wipe clean in between washes. The seat pad also comes out easy for washing and it’s really easy to put back together. For the price it’s a great seat all in all.
This is a great seat, but I really wish the head support was a little thicker. The padding is a little on the thin side, but you can always use a rolled up receiving blanket to have extra support around your newborn’s head. I would just suggest caution that it is secure and doesn’t move around too much. Safety first!

Love the pattern! (purple/pink kyte) So far so good, but baby is not here yet. Easy to install in the car. We had a Snugride 30 Classic connect for our first, but that model was discontinued, and after receiving a double stroller as a gift that was not compatible we bought this as a replacement. My only negative so far is that it that the insert/padding of the seat itself is just not as soft as the classic connect. But, I think it’s going to be great for our 2nd little girl.
Purchased this car seat for my unborn son and was very surprised on how cheaply made it is. The plastic that holds the actual cushion the baby sits on to the car seat was very lose and just hangs there. Also the handle is very thin and flimsy. I will be returning for a baby trend car seat which seems more durable for the price.
