    • Another reviewer noted how the black plastic piece under the handle prevented the trigger being depressed. I believe that’s because it’s a shipping latch to prevent accidental discharge even if the pin falls out. Once the extinguisher is mounted, the latch needs to be removed to make it ready for use once the pin is removed. But that’s not documented anywhere in the poor quality “manual.”
    • Product is as advertised. I hope that I won’t have the occasion to use it, but I have one to use.
    • It was a git and I thank GOD it was never used but it’s great to have just in case.
    • My son used this is a fire next door. The neighbor who’s kitchen was on fire didn’t replace it for my son. I decided to make up for their neighbor and give it to them as a Christmas gift. No good deed goes unpunished.
    • I bought this in good faith that this item will save us from a fire!
    • Original order: the extinguisher was improperly packed and apparently activated during shipping. Walmart immediately issued a prepaid return label and quickly sent out a properly packed /secured replacement. How the extinguisher actually performs will remain to be seen, but the buying experience has been satisfactory (despite the hiccup).
    • I haven’t used this on a kitchen fire, but recently used this for a class a/c fire (burning plastics lit by exposed electrical wire), as it was the only extinguisher I had on hand. It easily put out the flames before it spread to do any real damage and, with the addition of a bit of luck in seeing the fire immediately, saved my home. However, After pulling the red pin out, the vertical black piece of plastic on the lever was somehow jammed in the handle and I was UNABLE TO DEPRESS THE LEVER. After struggling with the extinguisher for a minute i just yanked the lever up and bent the vertical piece back so I could discharge it. I replaced it with the same model, but hopefully if I ever need to use it again I won’t have the same problem. The last thing you want when trying to put out a fire is have to fiddle with the extinguisher.
