- This bed is very study and easy to put together.(About 2 hours alone) but It is very dark,almost black.It holds the mattress in very good and looks great!
- It came early (which is always a good thing) it was alright to assemble I’ve had worse, but when it was done, it looks amazing! It holds the bed in place so it doesn’t move, there is no need for a box spring at all! Best of all it doesn’t make any noise, no matter how much you move on it!
- WE bought this bed to be a guest bed as both of my children have moved out. We received our order very quickly. And in good shape. The color was way off and I do not know how the picture on line is so much lighter color than ours. Putting it together was very hard. The instructions were basically some pictures with no written instructions. You need at least two people to put it together as you have to align the pieces at one point. We used books to get the right height so we could align it. I do have to say it does look beautiful once it is put together. It is very sturdy but it is not made for little children to play on but perfect as a guest bed.
- i actually read the reviews on this bed and i must say what i read made it seem like it was a nightmare to put together but my husband and father in law put it together in about a hour and a half…… the delivery was quick it came in 2 shipments just 1 day of eachother from fed ex… i love the bed its very sturdy it looks amazing… and the price was GREAT
- We’ve had this bed for 9-10 years, has gone through one move, and maintains its sturdiness. Solid piece of furniture, made to last many, many years.
- I had the bed shipped to the house and did find that one piece was scratched but it was not in a visible spot so we didn’t worry about it. After reading other reviewers I was prepared for an arduous assembly so I recruited two helpers. We didn’t have a lot of trouble with the assembly but you don’t want to try to do it by yourself. The instructions say not to use a power drill. Ignore that. Once it was assembled the bed itself is extremely sturdy and really beautiful. Looks much more expensive than it was.
- I couldn’t stand the thought of paying $3-4,000 for a bedroom set, so I read lots of reviews and finally found this set. I loved the color, but was a little concerned about the quality for the price. I did read one review that mentioned that they would replace damaged parts with no questions asked and figured that I would take the chance. The smaller items came very well packaged and shipped much more quickly than I expected. The bed arrived quickly as well, but was not packaged nearly as nicely. When we lifted the 72 pound package to bring it inside we felt several pieces slide around inside the box (the original straps that had been on the box were nowhere to be found, which allowed the box to lose its shape). I was so sad to see that 2/3 of the pieces were badly damaged. I found a website on the assembly instructions and e-mailed a representative to get the parts I needed, and, WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED, I received a confirmation e-mail stating that my new parts were on their way. I got the new parts in under a week, and now I’m loving my new bed! It was well worth the money, and far better quality than I expected. As far as assembly goes, I enjoy putting this type of thing together, so I was excited by the challenge since most reviews say how difficult it was to put together. I won’t say it was a breeze, but I was able to put every piece together while my 2 and 4 year old kids were “helping”, and still have my sanity. There were a few occasions I had to use the packaging to support a few pieces to get things put together, but it was worth it to see the look on my husband’s face when he got home from work. I would definitely recommend this set. Now that it’s all put together, most would have a difficult time figuring that it is as inexpensive as it is.
- Looks are deceiving. It was actually my bad that I didn’t see at the reviews before buying this bed. I looked at the picture and I really loved the bed. But when this bed actually came to me it was totally opposite. It was neatly packed in one box (weighing around 150 lbs which 3 of us had to carry it!) The bed didn’t come to my house as I missed the package twice from Fedex. So I had to get it my self by renting a pickup truck. I paid another $70 for the rental truck. Anyways when I open the bed from its packaging there were 12 planks of wood! I literally had wood all over my place. When I read the manual on setting the bed, I realized that this can’t be done by a single person and that’s when I saw the reviews. Yes this bed takes 3 people and at least 3 hours of your time to set it up. I would not and never recommend anyone to get this. After spending 3 hours of my Saturday to set this bed. I wanted to align this to the corner of my room. When I did that, the parts were coming apart. I had to keep it at the place where it was, assemble it again and then only i dared to move it. I have set this bed but I don’t know how am I gonna rip it apart if i am moving apartments. IKEA beds are far better then this bed. Even though those beds are slight expensive but they can be set up in minutes. I have had IKEA beds in past and I never had that issue ever to set it. I would again never ever recommend anyone for this bed and I regret buying this bed as this is the dumbest purchase that I have made on walmart. I hope this helps to people who plan to buy this bed.
