reviews
- Got two of these; 1 as a gift for a nephew, the other for me and my son. The figures are cool, though I thought IG-88 would be a bit bigger/more intimidating. As per usual with these sets, there is a little vehicle/scooter bike, and this one is different from the others, but I dint think it’s anything special compared to the bounty hunters. My main gripe is that the shipping department uses a huge box to send the two sets, and then packs it with so many of the air bags that they crush the boxes themselves. I dont care about mine so much, but the second set is a gift. And this is not the first time I receive crushed boxes from lego. I hope they can put a bit more QC or at least a bit of “sensitivity training” in their shipping department.
- The four figures are great, the only downside is Zuckuss is missing. 🙁 I know, a lot of people don’t have the other bounty hunters, so having the 4 included is very satisfying. . .just would love to see Zuckuss added down the line.
- Finally, iconic bounty hunters in a cheap set! (Pair this with the 2015 Senate Commando Battle Pack for an awesome battle!) Minifigs: First off, all of these characters are not exclusive! Almost all these reviews say that everybody except Dengar are exclusive; they’re not. These renditions are exclusive (except for Dengar), but Bossk came in the Super Star Destroyer and Slave I, IG-88 in the earlier Slave I, Dengar in a few others (including a Slave I and the Eclipse Fighter); 4-LOM is the only exclusive one. With that said, these characters are certainly well-picked for the battle pack, which is the first one to have all-named minifigs (Rebel Trooper Battle Pack 8083 was the first with Zev Senesca). However, the battle pack was initially designed to be able to be bought in large quantities for a large army, as it says on the side of the Snowtrooper Battle Pack (8084), “Build your Army!”However, with all-named-minifigs in a battle pack, you really can’t build an army of all the same bounty hunters. Anyway, great minifigs; Bossk was a great addition! Speeder: Awesome! the uncommon blue used for Aayla Secura is also used for unique detailing on this speeder. With quad cannons and twin stud-shooters, this thing is designed to be deadly. The twin engines on the front are really cool as well, with a third turbine in the back. My only complaint with this is that the handle can’t be held by a minifig (only a droid) – as the picture of Bossk in the seat shows. Anyway, a small complaint for a great speeder. Overall: Price: 19/20 Minifigures: 20/20 Speeder: 18/20 Pieces: 20/20 Awesomeness: 20/20 🙂 Total: 97/100
- This set is an absolute steal, containing 4 named characters in a battle pack. Not only that, but the inclusion of 4-LOM for the first time makes this set a must-buy. He does not seem to suffer the same issue that a lot of droid heads have regarding misalignment, which is great. An incredible minifigure. New Bossk is fabulous, the yellow is perfect, and the other two figures are very good. However, I would have preferred Zuckuss over Dengar, as he was also teased in the Freemaker trailer on a red speeder (same as Anakin’s from the 2002 Tusken Raider set if I’m not mistaken), and we are yet to get him as a minifigure. I’m hoping for him to be released in October or given the May 4th treatment for 2018… Great set, Lego. Very very happy.
