- Used this in my college-aged son’s studio apt. Works great! Quiet, cools well and takes little space.
- This AC definitely does the job and also takes out the moisture in the air, but it does it like crazy. I had to use the drainage port because it would fill so quickly. I had a 2 gallon bucket that I had to empty every 5 hours because it would get full to its brim and spill over. So I guess that’s my only complaint. It does a great job cooking larger rooms.

- When it got to 111 degrees here in our apartment it was unbearable. Our apartment has vaulted ceilings and the central air isn’t enough in heat like this. So I purchased 3 different portable air conditioners (This one for the living room, and 2 others for each bedroom) from three different stores. This one is the best one. Although it hasn’t gotten to 111 degrees again, this air conditioner keeps our living room cool and comfortable. I have and will again recommend this air conditioner to friends and family. PROS: Works great and keeps our living room of about 550 Square feet with a vaulted ceiling cool. Had it over two weeks now and haven’t had to empty any water from the unit. CONS: Really nothing, except it is a little bit louder than the others air conditioners I have purchased. But again this is an air conditioner. Not something that should stop the purchase of this unit at all.
- I purchased this unit for my upstairs.2 bed rooms connected by a pass thru bathroom and hallway.roughly 600 sq.ft. I have old casement windows that crank open. I had to aquire plexiglass and cut to the size needed to use with the vent hose adapter.it took 30 extra dollars and alot of duct tape, and an hour of work but that was the hardest part.Was easy to hookup the vent hose to the unit. i use it 12 hrs a day,at night,and finally sleep with blankets.it’s been 84 degrees and this maintains cool comfort at 74 after about an hour.it’s a little noisy but no worse than any regular window unit. After a weeks use it has been deemed worth the money.I don’t know what my utility bill is gonna look like.. but I’m not sweaty! The one thing I don’t like..the exhaust hose is 14″ from the bottom.they say not to have any bends or S shapes in the exhaust hose..how many people have windows 14″ from their floor.you have to set the unit on something to have a straight exhaust.in my case my lowest window is 43″ at the bottom… it’s sitting on a 36″ tall table :/
- We returned this AC the day after we received it. The item description doesn’t say anything about only cooling down to 75 then switches to fan mode. When the temp was above 75 the unit seemed to work fine but it wouldn’t work for our purpose. If they would add this to the item description it would have helped.
