Reasonably bright without being blinding. The lantern is not too heavy to carry around. Great item for power outages.

I haven’t had this very long but I am thoroughly impressed with it’s performance. It is small, light weight, compact, easily transportable and appears to be very durable. The light it gives off is extremely adequate for my purposes. I would purchase this again and would also recommend it to others.
I live in the eastern part of North Carolina and we get hit with hurricanes and bad storms. I used to use candles when the power went out, but you had to have too many to light up a decent part of the house. I found these lanterns and they had decent reviews so I got 2 (1 for my wife and 1 for me). They work great and light up a good are of the house you are in. And they are safer because there is no fire involved. I don’t know how long the batteries actually last yet. But I would recommend this item for power outages or camping, fishing or anything else you need light for.
This light gives off a nice bright white light. Compared to a fluorescent bulb lantern we borrowed, this was far superior in performance. Takes 3 D cells and if the battery drain is small (haven’t checked this) it should be able to be on the shelf for a while between emergencies.
I bought this product for a camping trip and came away impressed with its performance. The two 300 lumens and 65 lumens modes work well. I was initially concerned with whether 300 lumens would be enough for two people but found that 65 lumens was more than enough in most situations. I would recommend this product.
My old lantern bit the dust and I needed to bring one to an overnight camp out. Provided great light and seems very durable.
I bought this as part of my storm preparation and so far have not needed it. I placed the batteries in as soon as it came in and was pleasantly pleased with the brightness. I would definitely purchase again
Was not bright at all, and only illuminates what is directly next to it. The flashlight on my phone did a better job.
