Ozark Trail Lantern is easy to use and is compact enough where it can hardly be seen when off, which is alright with me.
I bought these for an upcoming hurricane and was a bit disappointed in the size until I put batteries in and WOW! They’re really bright! So, suddenly I liked the size ALOT!!! They’re small but give a great amount of light AND affordable! I’d recommend for sure!
I purchased the lantern because it takes AA batteries! If you live in a hurricane zone, then you are well aware that D batteries are always the first to go!! The latern is less than 6 in tall and features bright 75lumens and low light seetings 10 lumens . This latern is great for bathrooms or other small areas. However, To get the maixuim benefit, you’ll need to place it up high…either on a shelf or hang/suspend it from the ceiling/ceiling fan.
I bought this for power outages here in Chicago. I just want enough light to move around my apartment, and to keep my pet caged birds from freaking out if I move around, as they would if it were very dark in here. I’ve tried out this little lantern (and it is only about the size of a soda can!) and it is powerful. I can easily READ by the “high” light level, if the lantern is next to me. It also adequately lights the 21′ x 12′ main room here of my studio apartment. I am going to get at least one more, for the kitchen and the bathroom. Three AA batteries are not too costly. It feels solid and heavy for the size. I haven’t even used the “low” light setting, though it works fine too; it might be adequate for a small room like the bathroom.
I bought a bunch of these for an overnight camp out and gifted one to each of the tents in our group. Great for interior lighting and finding the path on a mid night run.
Both this mini Lantern at Walmart. Forgot to double check before taking it camping and it was not bright at all. I also bought the flashlight and headlamp pack i think like 30 and 60 lumens respectively and these were REALLY bright. But this mini lantern had 2 settings and they weren’t that much different if at all and both were extremely dim, like turn it on and it wouldn’t wake the person up next to you dim. Might have had broken LEDs or something but don’t have the receipt and wont be using it anymore…
