- This WILD THING is AWESOME!!! It really goes! Even at the lower speeds, which is really convenient that u can adjust from 2- 5mph until ur child is comfortable. We started off at 3mph & i rode it with no problem & i am 140lbs! The steering with the joysticks takes a little getting used to at first but once my son got the hang of it on the very 1st day, we had put the speed up to 4mph very quickly with no issues. My son & i rode it for over an hour & the battery still hadnt died, which is impressive because many only last about 20min. The wheels are great for getting thru grass & over bumps easily & it even went up a very steep hill in our driveway without a problem. Im not sure why there were so many negative reviews on Walmart but my 8yr old son is in love with this thing & i think it was well worth the purchase! U pay at least that or more for ride- ons that dont have even half the power AND my favorite thing is it is so much more convenient – i can actually put it in the back of my SUV & bring it to a park etc & it’s not a big huge thing to lug out of the shed, since im a single mom, that made it sooooo worth it vs the big ride- ons! The battery comes right out so i can charge it in the house easily. The only thing i wish it had would b a battery indicator – it will flash when it’s hooked up under the seat to let u kno it’s connected or low battery – but an indicator for charging would be helpful just to let u know it IS actually charging & how much battery is left or when it is FULL or DONE CHARGING …it would just be helpful to have an indicator on the battery so u dont have to guess (min of 14hrs but no more than 30hrs makes it difficult to know for sure) and only other thing i would suggest is a more secure seatbelt – it is flimsy but ur child is very low to the ground & should always wear a helmet anyhow & my 8 yr old is fine but for younger kids the seatbelt could b improved….otherwise we love it & Walmart price was $50 cheaper than anywhere else i found!
