I do like this shaver. Only problem is it’s a little heavier than I wanted. My husband is disabled so it’s hard for him to hold. But it does shave close and does a good job on a two or three day old beard. I would definitely buy it again.
All I could expect for the price. Wish it could be a little closer, but I have a heavy beard.
This razor gives a nice, close shave, and does it quickly. However, I knocked off a star because of two things I don’t like. 1. The trimmer is on the backside of the shaver, and I can’t see the trimmer head when I’m trimming on the left side of my face. 2. The power button is right where I put my thumb when maneuvering the shaver over my face. I’m constantly turning it off while shaving. I’ve had to reposition my hand on the shaver in order to keep it running. I’m still getting used to holding it that way!
I’ve only been using my new Remington F5-5800 electric shaver for a few days now, but it really works great. This is a flex foil shaver, and for me it shaves significantly closer than the rotary shaver I’d been using over these three years. And the price is reasonable as well.
I was suprised that the motor on this one is powerful. It charges fast and the charge lasts for days. It shaves close and quick. If I skip shaving for 2 or 3 days it can handle that and give me a close shave without a problem.
I have been using this shaver every day for the past year. I replaced the blades and screen at 6 months and it was like new again. They are inexpensive compared to other shaver parts. I have tried $200 Brauns and Norelcos and was unimpressed. This one gives a better shave for a fraction of the price. The shaver glides nicely, can be used while plugged in which is a big perk to me just in case, shaves smooth as far as shavers are capable, has a wide shaving head, lets you know when to recharge, easy to clean under water in a few seconds, doesn’t lose power as the charge runs down. As I said, I use it daily and it’s been a good reliable shaver with no complaints.
I’ve owned one like this before. I like Remington. I like the shave I get with it. Ordering additional heads is no problem. The only problem I had with the previous one is the door-type trimmer broke. A different design would be a much better idea.
I have been using a another model Remington foil shaver and bought this one as a backup. This razor does not meet the quality or performance of my older one. It does a very poor job of shaving and it feels as if it is pulling my hairs out instead of cutting them. Needless to say, I returned this item. Thank you, Walmart, for the easy return policy.
