The Neato Botvac D Series Pet and Allergy Robot Vacuum offers an easy way to keep your floors clean. It uses exclusive LaserSmart Mapping and Navigation to scan the room, plan the most efficient course and complete the job. The Neato Botvac robotic vacuum sees, senses and responds to furniture, toys and stairs, carefully moving around them without missing a spot. It works up to four times faster than round models and vacuums dirt, crumbs, dust bunnies and pet hair from virtually any floor type. This innovative pet and allergy vacuum combines super-powerful suction, versatile brushes and a bigger-is-better bagless bin. It uses an extra-large filter that captures particles as small as 0.3 microns, including mold and pet dander. The Neato Botvac robotic vacuum also features a special D-shape design for edging along walls and going deep into corners. It can be programmed to vacuum at a pre-set time and automatically docks to charge when its battery is low.

Even though I have one dog and two cats I come home to a vaccummed home everyday!
We borrowed iRobot form a friend and used for about a month. We are more impressed with the Neato D80 because it did a faster quicker job because of its wider roller bar and because its GPS logic seemed to be more logical than the competitor. One thing it does not have is a phone app to operate it from.
It just ran for the first time this morning. I was very impressed that it did several rooms, navigated around many obstacles & found it’s way back to the charger. It picked up tons of dust & animal hair even tho I vacuumed yesterday. I think this model is much better than my first one. Loving my Rosie 2 so far!
Have used our new Neato Botvac D80 about five times so far. We learned after the first couple of times that the charging unit needs to be properly placed with three feet clear on the three non-wall sides. It has worked perfectly so far, so we are very pleased.
I own three other robot sweepers. Neato is best: no pet hair left at edge of carpet. Finishes 3 rooms in 45 minutes. Very easy to program. Quieter. Easier to empty. Neater, more reliable charging station. Finds its way to charging station no matter how complicated the route. Better engineering and design features.
I’m really enjoying having our botvac glide over the floor and sweep up dog kibble, crumbs, and hair. It’s doing a great job and we find it very entertaining to watch. Of course, the dog does NOT agree !
I redeemed credit card reward points for this, and have had it for a week. I am very pleased, so far. It does a great job. The cliff and barrier sensors work well. It is meticulous going around chair legs in the dining room. I love how it gets under beds. It got caught in a tight spot one time, and was so cute as it shimmied to get free (which it did)! I will keep it clean, and I hope that it will continue to work well for a nice, long time.
I have owned 2 Neato Brokebotics robots, and in less then 6 months, my first had a malfunction and was replaced by a cheaper model (and that replacement conveniently broke just out of the warranty period) – and now my latest one has given me a Neato equivalent to the blue screen of death with the dreaded code 3000. When they work, they work well, but be ready to spend your time and money to package up the broken ones and send back for repair if you are lucky enough to have the issue in warranty.
