I bought ths for emergency and have not used it yet. I bought it because of the good rating of others.
Just started experimenting with Augason Farms Cheese Blend Powder yesterday. Made very good macaroni elbows and cheese with tuna. Added Augason Farms Southwest Chili Mix in a side bowl to try and was very good. Still experimenting, but that’s the fun part. As a single person I love the fact I don’t have to go shopping every day or two.
This is our second huge can of this cheese powder, within 6 months! Some cheese powders are salty to super salty… not this one! It tastes like CHEESE! My husband uses it mainly on popcorn, and I must tell you, as a cheese powder expert, it is his all time Favorite! It also makes a delicious cheese sauce for chips and nachos. And is Great on pasta! Love it.
The best powdered cheese I have found and very reasonably priced! We love to put it on popcorn.
I haven’t used this product yet. I searched quite a few companies for an “uncooked” egg product and Augason provided an uncooked egg. I can’t see where cooking with an already cooked egg is going to produce the quality results that an uncooked egg product will. A batch of brownies made with raw eggs just makes more sense to me.
The kids love this stuff; we use it mostly for mixing with macaroni noodles to make our own macaroni and cheese at a much lower price than the box kits.
Like a mac&cheese sauce. i often use in lentils(not aug’farms tho=they has too much hidden gravel)
I bought this to tr for cheese sauces instead of block cheese. works great.
I bought this for popcorn. I was dismayed to see that there are two different artificial colors in it. I would rather the cheese powder be a light orange color than neon orange with artificial colors. My son is allergic to artificial colors, but I just don’t like to buy things with colors in them for any of our family. I gave it away after the first use. As far as taste goes, it was very mild in flavor. I had to keep adding more to the popcorn. I would have liked for it to be stronger.
