- This is our 2nd purchase of this can. Our first one lasted for 4 1/2 years with daily use for a family of 5. Eventually the latch broke and we couldn’t repair it. We were excited to find that Walmart still carries the exact same can.

- This is an awesome trash can. I have had it for over a year and it gets quite a workout with 6 people in the house. One of the reasons I originally chose this trash can was that it was large enough for the kitchen bags to be filled up completely so no waste of a partially used bag, but not so big that the kitchen bags wouldn’t work. I also liked that the back hinge would not damage a wall or cabinet, which happened with another trash can. It is really easy to use, just lift up on the inner liner by the indents at the sides, place the drawstring part at the indent and hold it while you wrap the bag all the way around. It fits nicely so that the bag stays put when you lower the liner. I have had no trouble with the foot opener, but most of us just open the lid by hand to put something in it, which works out great. The lid still closes silently even with all the hand opening. I highly recommend this product!

- The can arrived slightly dented, but my main concern was that the lid didn’t fit properly. I was a bit disappointed, but who has time to deal with returns/exchanges these days?! I had purchased a couple of these in the past and wasn’t 100% satisfied; but they’re more attractive than the average trash can, and the sale price was about half the cost from another store. The pedals for lifting the lid on my original purchases were not sturdy. I hardly use it for that reason. But I’m happy with the look. 🙂 The lid on the one I got for my daughter cracked and eventually split all the way from front to back. My current purchase was to replace that one. I tried to order just the lid via the number provided on the can, but they said those are not available separately. Overall satisfied. But would only recommend with full explanation. 😉
- I purchased this trash can after moving into my new home about 8 months ago… the trash can lasted about 5 months before becoming a nuisance. The interior plastic trash can that you wrap your trash bag around has handles that are poorly made. Mine have broken leaving sharp plastic shards sticking out. Now every time we try to take out our trash our put a new bag in we get holes in the bag. There is no way for me to purchase a new interior plastic trash can, and better homes and gardens just says to contact the store where you made your purchase. I would never ever recommend this trash can to anyone. It’s expensive and sucks for the price you pay!
