I purchased this for my daughter when she outgrew her infant seat and it’s been great. I plan to keep her rear facing as long as possible which is why I did research on car seats that could stay rear facing as long as possible and that would accommodate my daughter’s height (she’s in the 99% for height). I also wanted something that could grow with her and make it so we didn’t need to buy another seat until we get a booster. The fabric is washable but isn’t the easiest to get on and off. The installation is mostly easy (you know…as far as car seats go). I have a Honda Odyssey and it fits well in the small middle seat. My daughter is comfortable in the seat as well. We liked the seat so much that we’re expecting another and bought the same seat for number 2.
I bought this car seat as our next and last car seat after our son’s infant car seat for my vehicle. In total we have/had 4 Graco car seats and I am completely happy with the easy of use and installation of all of them. We previously had a Safety 1st convertible car seat for my husband’s truck which I ended up getting rid of to replace it with a Graco Nautilus 65 3 in 1. We also have another Nautilus 65 3in1 which is in our other vehicle. All of our Graco car seats are absolutely wonderful and our son loves riding in them.
This car seat is very easy to install and remove from our vehicles. We have needed to do this several times since we purchased them and it’s very easy. Our kids seem to like them too.
We’ve had this seat for at least 6 months. I have not washed the seat pad yet, but it wipes and vacuums up easily. Easy install with latch or seatbelt in Rearfacing or forward facing. Kids fight over who gets to sit in it. Easy to adjust between numerous kids because of height adjuster. Harness height easy to change without uninstalling. Easy to load kids when rearfacing because of the low profile sides. Narrow enough to fit well with other passengers and car seats. Comfy. Our favorite seat so far. 5 kids love this seat. Love that it works for kids with long torsos.
This is our 2nd 3in1 for our ds. We found the straps to be easy to adjust for growth and easy to tighten every trip [pulls the slack from the shoulders]. The release under the seat is tough to get but that deterrs little ones from figuring it out and loosening their own straps.
Unfortunately I have uncovered a MAJOR flaw in this particular car seat. I believe that Graco should have a recall on the seat. A couple of months ago I discovered that I could pull the shoulder harness loose when doing the pinch test to make sure I had the straps tight enough. When I noticed this I then tried pulling on the straps. Sure enough, I could loosen them to the point where I could easily remove my child from the seat. The should straps should NOT move at all when pulled on. I took the seat out and discovered that there was small particles of food between the metal clip and the strap that tightens the shoulder harness (between the child’s legs). This tiny piece of food caused the ENTIRE HARNESS SYSTEM TO FAIL. It is very easy for food to fall into the latch. To verify this was the issue I cleared the debris and attempted to pull on the shoulder straps. I could not loosen them at all. A couple months later I noticed the issue had returned. Once again, food particles were between the strap and the clip. I contacted Graco and they refunded me my money for the seat. I’m still trying to find a replacement.
