- A great value. Required more assembly time than I anticipated, but I was pleased that all materials were well engineered and included good hardware. As another reviewer indicated the color is fairly dark and reddish, not the honey color I would associate with “cottage oak”

- This item was easier to put together than I thought it would be. I did had difficulty leveling the table extension piece between the two table ends. But looking on the back, I realized the stapled square pieces that are anchors for the equipment for putting the table together were attached right in the spot that kept the table from leveling. You will need to take them off before the table extension will level. This is not in the instructions, so this situation may vary. Otherwise, this was a great assemble with all the part accounted for. I love my table and chairs. It fits beautifully in dining area.
- Would recommend this dining set. Chairs and table are sturdy. Assembly was as expected (first chair tricky, but by fourth it was simple). Table leaf is 18 inches (a little bigger than anticipated). Table finish is good…but will need some protection. Chairs are generous and finish is very nice. We like the color very much…it was deeper and richer with red tones than pictured (goes great with our cabinets). And delivery and product condition were excellent.
- I’m giving this item 4 stars even though the table slider apparatus for the table arrived damaged. (There was a web site to get a replacement and I found that very easy to use and order it yesterday.) The furniture need to be assembled. If you are uneasy with moving boxes (and cutting up the cartons for disposal afterwards) and assembling the furniture, you might want get the furniture delivered and assembled. When you put the table and chairs together, it’s best to have a portable power drill with the hex and Phillips head attachments. The instructions could have been better, but after assembling the first chair, the rest followed easily. Overall, I saved about $150 over the purchase and delivery. I’m pleased.
- This 5 piece set is just perfect for where I planned to put it. It assembled easily and well. It is true to color. I have mission/arts & crafts style in that reddish oak color and it works! It was delivered in a few days. “On Sale” at JC Penny.com for more than double the price!!
- Color is actually much darker than the orangish shade seen on the website. Wood shade looks nothing like the ad and description should be updated to state this set to be dark oak shade. I would have chosen a different set based on color. Looks better on website than setup in kitchen.
