• I’ve had this mop for about 7 years and it is only now having problems. the first thing that broke, broke early. That was a small piece of plastic that held the water on. It broke because the mop was bumped into while standing upright, and fell. the standing feature needs improvement. Had to tie the water on for the remainder of the years. Then many years later I needed a new rubber ring for the seal of the water. That was not easy to find. If you use distilled water, you will almost never have to replace the filter. Mine is still good after 7 years. Overall, nice mop, works great, but a few things need improved.
• did not work when I received it, called Bissell, they told me the problem was an old filter, they are sending a replacement filter. they told me my “new” machine was made in 2014. very disappointed with Walmart the machine is great, but, I only know this from trying my friends machine.
• This is our second Bissell Steam Mop Hard Floor Cleaner. We had our first one for a number of years and wore it out. We were so pleased with it that we bought another one almost identical to it. It heats rapidly, uses only distilled water, requires a pad that can be machine washed, and the results are great!

• I’m thinking about buying a new steam cleaner, so was comparing the reviews for the new model Bissells. My old steamer is 15-16 years old and has performed quite well over the years, but is beginning to wear out – doesn’t steam like it once did. Pads have held up well, but are not as snug and tend to slip now. Have a huge kitchen, breakfast room and walk-thru butler’s pantry covered in vinyl plus a 28 ft. long tiled hallway. This steamer has been a time and back saver. My only complaint is that this model has a high profile and barely fits under the toe kick plates in the kitchen which means cleaning by hand. We will be having new stone-look laminate installed throughout this area and this old steamer won’t fit under the toe kicks. Wondering if the profile is lower on the new models. Bought many Bissell products over the years and they are quite reliable and well priced. Guess I need to go on a shopping trip!
• This is a replacement for a Bissell Steam mop that I have had for the last four years. That one was reconditioned and this one was sold as new. I liked the last one and hope that this will last longer.
• We had a Nissell and were looking for a newer model we bought a Shark steam mop but it didn’t have enough steam to do a good job. It was necessary to go overthe floor twice to get it clean. So we bought another bissell, since we knew it works well.
