I love everything about this oven. Keypad is very easy to read, even in my dim kitchen. Venting is good, I haven’t had any problem with condensation inside oven. I’ve used the Express Cook, Pizza, +30 sec. buttons, and they all make a time-saving appliance even more convenient. I bought this for my “snowbird” home, and I’m almost wishing my microwave up north (which I love) would die so I could replace it with this. My previous oven here was 1400 W and this is only 1000 W, but the cooking times aren’t that much longer.
This microwave is really great! It has everything we wanted! My most favorite button is “Reheat.” The food is perfect – never overdone or underdone. Also really like the defrost. It does not “cook” the meat while you are trying to defrost it.. This is a very attractive appliance and looks really nice in our kitchen. It truly looks much more expensive. I am very happy with this microwave and the price.
Stainless steel appliances are vogue, but we do not like them. We have white appliances, so needed to find a white microwave. Although our choices were limited, this Hamilton Beach unit fulfilled our needs and works very well. What do you say about a microwave? It works!
This microwave runs hotter than my previous microwave. It just takes time to get used to the adjustments that are needed. The only negative I have is that I wish I had ordered a compact model for my small kitchen. That would have good cooking capacity, but it was not clear if the compact models would have the turntable. My next one will be a compact model.
I hate to say bad things; I was really looking forward to this purchase. But when I opened the cardboard box, I discovered one of the pieces of packing styrofoam was broken. I didn’t really think about it, but after I had put it out on the counter, I realized there was a dent the entire length of the side of the unit, right at the top. Also, once under the under-cabinet light, I discovered this microwave is actually an antique/off-white, not white as posted in the website’s descriptions. I’m really bummed about this as I live in the country, and my “local store” is 45 minutes away. I’ve contacted customer service and will be bringing it back. 🙁 On the upside, the clock has a 24-hour option which I love! (I’ve worked for decades in the medical profession.)
