- The heating element with cord is separate so you can lift the tea kettle unencumbered. It’s a cheerful color, looks like a tea kettle not just a container, and heats up the water fast!
- This has auto shut off, automatic turn off switch to prevent overheating. This model is my second exact one. The first one I lost when I moved. I had no hesitation which one to buy no matter the price of it went up a little. It’s worth it at the regular, reasonable cost. Surprisingly, the price dropped at Walmart. I saved $8, a bargain to boot. I believe it also comes in an all stainless steel color. I just like the red color. It’s the simplist model to use. If you’re like me, and are doing too many things around the house at once, it’s easy to be forgetful. (I’m also disabled, but ambulatory, though I walk much more slowly. That’s what I mean by set it and forget it. Because many times I do forget I’d turned it on. The switch is easy to use, lights up when turned on and is positioned safely below the handle, out of the way of being knocked into and possibly breaking. A great feature. It has a splash proof spout and an easily removable filter for sediments that might be in your water supply. This Hamilton Beach kettle is a God send that helps make living with my disability easier. - Love this kettle! I wanted a brand name kitchen appliance as well as a color that would stand out – I got both with this Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle.
- I use it every day, multiple times a day! It’s been in service for close to two years. Heats up fast every time. This was a great purchase and it’s a great accent color for my kitchen.
- Boils water very quickly. 3mins a full pot is done. Stays hot for long. Outside isn’t the same temperature as the water. That’s a plus for accidentally touching it and not getting burned.
- This is a large kettle and takes up quite a bit of counter space. It boils 1liter in about 4 minutes which is much faster than our 1000 watt microwave, or our old kettle on an smooth top electric stove. 1 liter is a little more than half full. The minimum level you’re supposed to heat is 1/2 liter, about 2 cups, which takes 2 minutes. There is a level window on the side which is fairly easy to see but not as easy as a glass kettle.
- Wonderful water kettle. Our daughter had this kettle when we visited this last vacation. I loved it then, ordered it and use it daily. I drink hot tea but I also love my dish water and my cleaning water HOT!
- Happy to receive it only to find out once setting it up that the switch was defective. Taking it back immediately.
