- This was a pleasant surprise on the Walmart site! Got a large microwave, very powerful, with a grill built into it for less than a small microwave. Fast shipping, well packed, arrived on time. Plenty of room to cook a 12″ pizza!! Worth the price
- As a microwave it works great. Only problem, you can’t see what’s cooking, light is too dim. As for the grill, forget it. No place to collect grease. Tried to toast a bagel, after 4 minutes, not even brown. Will forget the grill feature, but microwave very satisfied.
- I’ll admit, I bought this solely based on it’s look. It was pretty and priced decently. The added perk was the grill which I’m too scared to use. The idea of metal in a microwave freaks me out. Problems: you can’t see the food while it’s warming, the pretty mirrored exterior needs constantly cleaning, and I’m noticing lots of steam/smoke when I open the door after warming food. I’ve never had a microwave that did that for EVERY type of food. Bacon/meat, yes. But everything smokes when it comes out. Also when you’re eating something you probably shouldn’t, you can look at yourself the whole time it’s heating up. It’s a punishment microwave. Ultimately, it does what it needs to do and it was decently priced.
- I just purchased this microwave to replace a GE over the range unit that started acting up. I figured that for the cost of repairs and having someone come in and work on the older (4years old) unit, this would have to do for now. I don’t know what people mean by this microwave bring too loud, because I had to check that it was actually running. Heated the food up in less time than my older one, and looks really nice on my console table in my kitchen. The mirror finish is what caught my eye, and the fact it wasn’t too big helped me to decide. The 1000 watts of power was the same as my older unit…so glad I bought it. Seems to heat food up faster too. So far so good. Only time will tell.
- We recently purchsed this Oster microwave. It looks nice but has so many cons! First, it trips the breaker just about every time it is used, Sometimes just by pushing a button and it’s not even running yet. Second, it sounds awful when using defrost. It will bounce between the regular microwave sound to a loud thump sound and back again for the entire defrost. I don’t know if that is normal for this microwave but I have never had that with any other. Third, it has a grill feature I would NEVER trust to use since I’m having issues with it’s main job!!! Fourth, yes you cannot see what is going on with your food inside due to very dim lighting. Fifth, must not have great ventilation. No matter what you are cooking or reheating you will have steam pouring out of the microwave when you open it! Which then leaves you to air it out and/or wiping it down after each use. All in all I do NOT recommend this microwave to anyone! We will be returning ours as soon as we research for a new one!!
