- First of all the garbage can itself is great, and well worth the price. That is why I gave this product 4 stars. However, I specifically bought this for the lid, because I wanted something that my cat can’t easily get into. The lid’s latch is actually better than I expected given it’s reviews. No it isn’t comparable to an expensive top of the line garbage can lid, but it works fairly well. My complaint is that the lid just sits on top of the garbage can without attaching in any way. It is pointless having a touch top lid that doesn’t even attach to the garbage can… it is easier to just lift the lid. The garbage can even has latches! The garbage can’s latches just are not compatible with the lid, which is silly since the lid is specifically made for this garbage can.
- We really like this trash can. A touch of the button is all it takes to open the lid so if both hands are full it’s easy to open. The only drawback is the little springs that opens the lid. On our previous trash can, one of the broke so it wouldn’t open on it’s own. So far, this one is working well.
- Sturdy and priced very well. Despite comments by some that the touch top is a problem…mine works just fine.
- I needed a trash can that my daughter could keep in her room for when she cleans her ferret litter boxes. A flip top lid was a must, because if you forget to open it and have your hands full or they’re dirty, you need to be able to just push the button. I could no longer find the one that we had originally gotten from Walmart, and couldn’t find an acceptable replacement for a long time. Finally, I found this one! It’s a little shorter and wider than our last one, which is just right for us. The flip top lid works great, and it keeps the smell of the dirty litter inside and the odor doesn’t find a way out and make her room stink. My daughter and I are both happy with this purchase.
- This is the second set of these that I’ve purchased. One of the springs broke on the lid after a couple of years. For the price, it was not an issue for me. They are the perfect size for the space in my kitchen. I use two of them side-by-side for both trash and recycling. I’ve been unable to find this size stocked in my local store, so i was glad that it was available online.
- This is a great size for only a small amount of people in the home. We recycle and have a separate can for that so we don’t have too much garbage with just 2 of us. It stores great, hidden in the pantry. Easy flip top lid.
- This trash can was fine for a short time. However, within 6 months the lid wouldn’t stay closed. I figured out a way to modify it to get it to work. A little while later one of the springs at the hinges broke. Then the other one broke. Now the lid won’t open by itself. The can didn’t even last one year. It wasn’t expensive, but I expected more than this. I won’t be purchasing anymore of your products in the future.
